An excellent TV
By Chris S
I very recently purchased this TV and have so far found it to be an excellent TV. I previously owned a 32" Samsung LCD TV and also have experience with Sony TV's. I have always found that Sony inparticular seem to overcomplicate things. In comparision with both Sony and my previous Samsung I am finding the LG model far more user friendly with bigger, brighter, clearer menus and controls. It was very easy to set up and tune channels. This is my first step up to full 1080p definition and I have been very impressed. The picture is simply stunning and Blu Ray films have to be seen to be believed. Multiple picture modes allow you to adjust picture for TV/ Movie/ Gaming etc, which is a good feature.Freeview HD is an excellent addition and makes good use of the TV's picture quality. Consequently I am finding it quite hard switching back to SD (Standard Definition)!I would note that prior to ordering I would recommend doing some research on screen size vs. viewing distance. Getting the right size TV for your room is very important. Everyone should be aware that recommended viewing distances for HD are much smaller than for SD so if you are going to spend most of your time watching SD TV you are going to want to sit further back.I would highly recommend this TV. Very good quality. Freeview HD excellent. Price (£429)is unbeatable (I checked extensively before buying!). I ordered at 3pm on Friday on Amazon Prime. It was delivered at 9am the next day. Top marks Amazon.

I love LG! :D
By Kim, East Yorkshire
Bought this as its full HD, which obviously gets us the extra HD channels without needing an additional box. I already have a 42" LG HD ready tv, which I've had about 18 months, and I have no complaints about it at all. But this one is even better, and so slim! Would recommend LG to anyone without reservation. Easy to set up, picture quality is excellent, plenty of scope for any changes you could want to make in expert mode. But to me the pre-set modes are more then adequate. Delivery as always with Amazon was swift, and tv arrived in perfect condition. I have no bad comments to make.

Wow!!
By Rincewind
I wanted a screen to use as a third TV and as an HD computer monitor. I read many online reviews, and this LG seemed to match all my requirements. As a PC HD monitor it is truly 5 star - perfectly clear whether reading small fonts or watching HD DVDs. The surprise came when using it as a TV, and comparing it with my Sony and Sagem HD TVs. The LG was intended as a third screen but is now used as equal first choice with the 55" full HD Sony! Choices, choices, choices - poor me! I recommend this LED screen to all my family and friends - less than 2 seconds to "warm up", perfect picture, decent sound, input ports to suit anyone, and the swivel base is ideal for changing viewing positions between TV and PC.

Solid, easy to use and now has a UK mains plug
By Mark F
I bought this a week ago to do Time Machine backups on my new iMac. It looks good, feels solid and well built, and was simplicity itself to set up for Time Machine - you just plug it in and it goes. Firewire 800 is a big plus, as is the near-silent running and the fact that it sits very neatly in the shelf unit on my desk and is therefore very unobtrusive. Oh, and mine came with a 3-pin UK mains lead, so that problem has obviously been sorted out.

WD My Book Studio 2TB
By Alun Williams
I purchased this item on the 23/01/12 and set it up and it worked perfectly well. I then went abroad for six weeks which meant the unit was not in use, when I returned and switched it on it would not power up. I got in contact with the seller who basically palmed me off and told me to get in touch with the manufacturers. I sent WD an e mail stating my problem and after two weeks I am still waiting for a reply from them. I also phoned their support in Holland and was told that they would send me a new power unit, I am still waiting for it. My next step is to get in touch with Amazon. Be wary if you intend to purchase one of these because if something goes wrong with it you will face an uphill struggle to get it sorted.

Quiet, fast, reliable and nice to look at
By Martin Turner
This Western Digital MyBook Studio is a 1TB external hard drive with a 'wall-wart' power supply, and connections for both Firewire 800 and USB 2.0. In operation it is quick and quiet, and has the added benefit of powering down when not in use, thus entirely eliminating the noise. It's good-looking in its brushed aluminium enclosure, and also comes with some useful drive management and backup software, which you can use if you like. The drive is Mac formatted out of the box, though you can easily reformat it for Windows if you prefer. This is the second Western Digital My Book sitting on my desk. It nestles next to its big brother, the dual-drive RAID based version. I mention this because, over the years, I've never had a Western Digital drive fail on me, either internal or external. This is quite an achievement, seeing as I've been through a dozen LaCies, Maxtors and others of more or less high-brand prominence, all of which have failed me sooner or later (some very soon indeed). For a drive to run music or video editing off, this one is superb. The throughput from Firewire 800 is more than enough for HD video editing on Final Cut Pro. The drive also performs nicely for the more mundane tasks of copying gigabytes of photos and general files backwards and forwards. All that said, it is not the quickest drive you could possibly get -- its big brother has eSATA, and newer drives are coming out with Thunderbolt connectors. All this is important because, no matter how fast the drive is internally, its the connection speed to the computer which is the real bottleneck. Likewise, although it has Western Digital reliability, a single drive is intrinsically less reliable than a RAID array configured for mirroring. In other words, this is a great drive, but don't put anything on it you can't afford to lose, unless you have a pretty good backup regime in place. You may, of course, be buying this for the purposes of backup, for which it has a lot going for it. It's physically about the size of a copy or War and Peace in paperback, and so will easily go into most bags. This makes it great for off-site backup, which is the missing element in most people's backup routine. You can use it to make a copy of your Apple 1TB Time Capsule, though it will be on the small size if you are using the 2TB Time Capsule. Equally, you can use Western Digital's own supplied automated backup software to make backups periodically and automatically, which is the best way to do them. The supplied software is OK, rather than brilliant, but more than adequate if you're an average data user. All in all, this is a good, nicely made quick drive which, if it's as reliable as Western Digital's other stuff (only time will tell, of course) will serve you well for anything that requires large amounts of data to be pushed backwards and forwards regularly, and which is too big for your computer. Just remember to keep it backed up -- external hard drives are intrinsically more vulnerable to being knocked off tables, and the beautiful metal enclosure is probably not going to do a lot to cushion the blow if it lands on a hard stone floor.

A pretty, delicate bangle as described. Slightly too small for what was required but very good value at the sale price.

Incredibly small
By Ptricia
I didn't understand the implication of "Maid's Bange". It is incredibly small and really only fit for a child. I bought one like this for my neice some years ago and she liked it so much she wanted another one in spite of the fact that the other one's clasp eventually failed, and the bangle also snapped in the middle. I thought this one was identical to the other one but it was SO small. I have had to return it.From my neice's experience, the bangle is not fit for very regular, or heavy, wear. However, it is pretty. I would only recommend this for a very young person with slender wrists and that they do not wear it all the time.

Fit for purpose
By Gemma49
I bought these firstly as a Christmas present for one of our sons and he asked for more for his birthday - so they must be good; he used them on his garage floor so he could use the space for weight lifting. They fit well together and provide a firm, spongy surface.Delivery was very prompt.
