I usually prefer my separate component surround system but obviously this is not something I can use late at night without peeing off a.) My wife and b.) the neighbours. This headphone set up seemed like a good option and after receiving it this morning I gave them a couple of tests tonight. Guy Ritchies Sherlock Holmes was first up and I have to say it sounded great through these cans, soundfield seemed well placed and dialogue was clear throughout. I then used them to watch SuckerPunch, the sound from this movie came through really well, the surround effect worked like a dream. While I wouldnt be able to comment on the 7.1 claims (my own system is 5.1) it is certainly convincing enough . I look forward to using it with games such as Killzone 3 and Dead Space. All in all a nice addition to the AV system and with Amazons price being £80 cheaper than my local Sony store it's well worth the price. Give them a go if you need to watch your movies without disturbing family or neighbours.

These headphones may seem expensive initially but don't let that put you off. Putting them on for the first time they seemed relatively comfortable, especially around the ears, however the charging point is on the headband part, not too intrusive thankfully (especially for those of us with little hair on top). You get optical digital and a L/R phono inputs. Takes roughly 3hrs to charge, mine were charged quicker than this out of the box. I have had RF and IR wireless phones before and could not get on with them, either restrictive on listening angles\distance or RF noise. These do not suffer with that, they are digital using the same frequency as your 2.4GHz wifi, so sound is crystal clear, range is good. As they use wifi frequencies to transmit be careful where they are placed, mine are roughly 2.5mtrs from my access point and haven't had any drop outs, except when testing them in another room, so range seems good so far. There are only a couple surround modes (game and cinema) but these make the sound very expansive. Most of the standard digital formats are covered (Dolby/DTS, except the HD versions). Only gripe is I wish there were tonal controls (bass and treble at least), as the bass can be flat sometimes especially through the digital input. Overall well built, clear and comfortable headphones, have only had them a short while but impressed. 4 stars because the lack of tonal controls, especially if you want to listen to music via the digital input, but very nearly a 5 star product in my opinion.

Others have said how detailed the sound is...I just want to add that they come alive on Blu Ray DTS or Dolby Digital when all sound options are turned off. The improvement was so radical that I now prefer to watch Blu Ray using the headphones than the surround Amp. They cant quite handle the low frequency from Tron 3D but that is exceptional. Definitely recommend if only I could afford three pairs. Oh a piece of advice unless your Blu Ray player has multiple Optical outs you will need a splitter DO NOT GET THE CHEAP ONES you need the powered kind about £34 on Ebay.

I normally wear flat boots and shoes, and it is *very* difficult to find footwear that combines good looks and comfort. I have to say, that the Dr Martens Beccca boot does just this. For their first outing, I wore this boots for a 4 hour shopping trip around the town centre and they perfomed beautifully with not a blister in sight. The soles are thick, bouncy and non-slip without a large ugly profile, and the leather is lovely and soft. The heel is also built of a rubbery material which cushions your knees.I would highly recommended these to anyone!
