Viking tricycle

This is a great purchase for adults that are a bit 'wobbly' when using two wheels, as it is very stable - and you can pause for a while without falling off !! The bike is well made and sturdy and arrives almost fully assembled - the work to complete is really quite minimal.First time riders will have to remember that the bike is quite wide, so you have to double check gaps before trying to slip through - and also beware when trying to pull up next to a kerb. The 'handbrakes' on the front and rear brake levers are useful (and important) for when you leave the bike on an incline.Two things to be aware of are: First, the folding attribute doesn't actually save you much room, and even when folded it is still a big item. And second, only one of the rear wheels is actually driven by the pedals (the other one free-wheels). These are just comments and not niggles, so don't read too much into them.All in all, it's a great trike and it should last us many many years, and we are very pleased with the purchase.

Even though we are Pensioners we wanted to join in the craze for cycling.We had done quite a bit of cycling in the olden days but after having had a knee replacement I was too frightened of doing harm to the knee I had had replaced last year and the knee I am due to have replaced this year.So,I bought the trike mainly due to the fact that I was frightened of having to put a leg down and doing untold damage to my knees.The result is brilliant!Not only is it wonderful to be getting out and about again but an added bonus is the amount of people who have admired my trike and stop to talk. More talking, less cycling, but more friends.Folds up and goes in the car too with my husbands bike on the rack behind.Big basket takes coats, picnic bag and all the essentials of protection from the summer weather!

I bought it because it looks nice and will not tip over like a bicycle. it is fast popular and easy to do shopping with. you can even give people rides in the basket and still go a long way quickly.if you use it remember the following things: don't lean, dont turn sharply at higher speeds, if you are on slanted ground it will slant too.but other than those thing it is a fantastic value for money and has nearly paid for itself by replacing bus tickets.most people will say tricycles are for toddlers but this is a professional cargo/dilivery veihicle. in conclusion: I recommend this trike to everyone,have fun!

MSI GT680 Laptop Review

I was pleasantly surprised from this product when it arrived, it looked good and is quite heavy.It was easy to set up and was very fast. It shuts down and restarts to desktop in approx 45 seconds.The sound and graphics are excellent, films are easy to watch and crystal clear.For some reason the cd would not read the installation dvd but most things worked anyway.I have just upgraded the memory to 12GB from the standard 6GB. It states you can upgrade to 16GB butwhen I removed the back cover I could only find 2 memory slots in view, the others must be less accessiblebut I think 12GB will be ample.I did a windows experience index test and achieved a start score of 7.0 out of a possible 7.9 which I was pleased withAfter a few uninstalls and disk cleanup, defrag etc and a couple of tweaks it now shows a score of 7.1I am not a gamer but did put the free Assassins Creed 2 on as a test and it looked quite good and smooth.The only down side is it gets dusty very quickly but a cloth did come with the package along with the free game and a nice bagThe keyboard does come with a normal num pad on the right which also is very handyin all its a cracking HEAVY fast laptop and would recommend itLes

Gives the Best Shave I have EVERY had

I was dubious about this product at first. I had previously owned a Philips shaver and didn't get on with it at all. For the last few years I had been using a popular competitor which reasonable results. The problem is my neck never really shaved properly without an extended amount of effort, and often I subsequently noticed that there were still patches left unshaven.Enter the SensoTouch. The top of the shaver moulds itself so well to the contours of my face that even after the first use, I could tell this would be perfect. I had 2-3 days of growth which for me is verging on a full beard, and less than 5 minutes later I was looking at a very clean-shaven face. With daily use it takes about 2-3 minutes tops.The shaver hardly makes any noise either. It just glides over everything. The pointy bits are great for the nose area and my neck now shaves excellently thanks to the way it sits on the skin.To clean, just take off the top and rinse it under the tap. For a super-clean, there is the automatic cleaner which is amazing, but I haven't felt the need to use it more than once a week.This shaver can be used wet or dry. I still have to give the wet shave a go, but to be honest the dry shave is so good, I can't really see the motivation to use shaving cream.It is expensive, but because it is so good, it saves you time in the morning and it is so gentle you don't feel you've just gone 20 rounds with a glorified piece of sandpaper. Definitely worth it.Well done Philips and sorry for staying away for so long!

Fantastic shaver but over-priced

First, some context: if you use a wet shave and are considering going to an electric shaver for a better shave - forget it, the shave isn't going to be as good (even this one). If you are an electric shaver user and would like to get a closer shave then read on. The reality is that no electric shaver can mimic the cost and closeness of a razor shave despite potential electric shavers' advantages such as reduced skin cuts and irritation, portability, efficiency etc.This shaver comes with a long lead to connect the 2-pin auto-voltage connector to a charger stand which has suction feet for stability. The shaver charges via touch-contacts when propped upright on the stand and the battery charge level on the RQ1180 is indicated by a 5 level column of lights. "Wet" shaving is entirely safe because the shaver cannot be connected to its charger when in use. The shaver is rated to provide 17 shaves fully charged and incorporates a 3 sec push and hold travel lock to prevent inadvertent discharge when travelling. Unfortunately the charger stand cannot be folded up for travel which is a bit of a nuisance as it takes up a lot of unneeded space. The instruction booklet was written for Ikea it seems - lots of pictures so no need to translate to different languages, but as a result you need some experience in Lego, Meccano or Ikea.The RQ1180 itself is light, quiet and streamlined in use, comfortable to hold and easier to disassemble for cleaning than the more classic Philishave models I've used before. As a dry shaver, both with and without electric pre-shave lotion, its results felt no better than previous Philishaver models though its 2D contouring over the face felt marginally smoother. However when used as a wet shaver, using gel in personal preference to shaving foam or oils, the shave achieved with the RQ1180 was faster, closer and considerably more comfortable than its dry shave capability.The RQ1180 includes a bulky electrically operated cleaner and charge stand with bowl for jet cleaning the shaver heads and this is responsible for much of the increased price of this shaver versus others from the same range. Individuals reluctant to pay this sum may prefer the same model available without the bowl for considerably less. The cleaner does a good job of cleaning the shaver and heads, but it may be a bit redundant as the shaver head assembly is easily washable under running water and can easily be disassembled for brush cleaning.So to conclude... this is definitely a cut above (sorry) the traditional electric shaver and for that it must be commended. Conversely it doesn't beat a wet shave so it really is geared at electric shaver users onlu. From that point of view my only big objection has to be the price. For something that is after all a shaver it does seem considerably more expensive for a set of features which, being optimistic, will be used "for best". Worse still, you are paying a huge premium for the cleaning stand and I don't really think that's justified. For that reason alone, I'm afraid it has to lose a star.

Almost perfection.

As a self confessed "wet & blade" shaver I was looking forward to giving this latest electric incarnation from Philips a test drive (well shave actually). The key problem with manufacturers on the electric side of the shaving world is how do you improve a product that essentially has a very specific and limited function, namely to shave the skin! You can add flashing lights, sexy ergonomics, a plethora of high tech speak, ultra long times before recharge but end of the day you are up against a blade (or blades) that cuts the hairs on your chin....that's it. With my own wet shave system my anual expenditure is probalby in the region of £40p.a. (razor and blades), so what if anything is present here to warrant a 5 year pay-back on my investment?Out of the pack the Senso is surprisingly light and yes, extremely well designed. In many ways it has the feel of a large wet razor (a good hand fit and grip being essential before the blades are let loose on raw skin!). Philips claim that the Senso "allows the shaver to perfectly follow the unique contours of the face" which in reality means that here you get three circular blades in a triangle formation that work to raise then cut the hair on your face, hugging your face in the process & giving you a clean shave whether wet or dry. In addiition to the blades we have the extra touch of the flat circular and hidden blades beneath their circular brothers and designed to tackle very short stubble.With the AquaTech inbuilt seal (making the unit essentially waterproof) the shaver has the option of going for wet or dry. I'm not sure if it was psychological or not but with my own testing, I'd swear that the wet shave produed better results, albeit there were repeated trips back to the mirror to catch those annoying hairs you miss when the face is covered in gel! A simple touch sensitive on off switch glows at you, inviting you to turn it on and those wishing to push the boat out further get the self cleaning docking station to charge and clean when it's not on your face (shaving just got lazy).The results were impressive, very impressive, although in all honesty, not quite as wafer thin close than I'm used to with a blade, but this was never noticeable until well into the evening. That said the shave was exceptionally quick and comfortable with zero skin irration. To conclude, the senso has obvious advantages over the traditional wet shave system. It would be a perfect companion on a long haul flight, holiday or business trip. It is exceptionally comfortable, discrete, ergonomic, easy to use, cleans itself and charges in an hour. It is virtually impossible to cut the skin, the precision trimmer is ideal for sideburns and hey, it feels good and it feels close, very close. I said at the begining that I am a wet shaver and therefore for me it is hard to justify the hefty price tag for such comfort, convenience and styling. That said for those who prefer not to use a blade, I'd say that this is the closest electic model I've ever used and one capable of producing the same results with the added benefit out eliminating the risk of cutting yourself in the process.

This review is actually for the HTS-3405 5.1 system.Supplied through Richer Sounds with an excellent delivery service - they even call you to let you know within the hour when delivery will be made!System was very easy to set up, although speaker wire is (very) thin, sound quality is good through normal sd broadcasts, but really comes alive with hd and bluray. You do get quite a lot for the money, and the speakers, although quite small, are fully up to the job. I really liked the integrated RIHD system that automatically turns the Onkyo on when powering up my Panasonic tv or bluray player. There are also lots of different sound settings to play with.The RDS radio is a bit of an add-on, although I'm sure some will use it. Sound quality isn't great, but acceptable.Well worth the money and the service from Richers was excellent!

Cinema comes home

Brought the HTS3405 DESPITE some reviews slating the quality of the passive bass system; I can only conclude said reviewers did not set the system up correctly!Sound is very, very good, with enough bass to seriously upset the neighbours.The amp and speakers look good and have the feel of quality of a much more expensive system.Playing music or just listening to the radio is a pleasure watching a movie demands popcorn and a large Coca-cola.It you wish to buy a surround system on a budget, you could do a lot worse than buying this

Best value for money 5.1 Surround Cinema Hub&Speaker Pack

Nowadays anyone who impulse buys just because the marketing gurus have pushed a button, deserves what they get. My disposable income has been squeezed just like most of us and for every penny I spend I expect value. I went through dozens of reviews and several months deliberating before deciding to buy this Onkyo HTS3405 package as my Christmas present to myself.And I am THRILLED with the outcome.To qualify this it is necessary that potential buyers understand that this Onkyo rates with Yamaha and Pioneer base lines in terms of quality of product and capability, but at a price which the more budget minded of us can live with.I guess it's also important to define what is expected from the unit. Straight off I love music and films, and so the input hardware units (DVR, B-Ray, Satellite) and the destination TV have to be part of the compatibility and cost factors. (Gamers will have to apply their own credentials - sorry!).Let's take the (most important) requirements for the TV. When you opt for this Onkyo you get a sound system at this price which has no equal. You don't have to pay for a TV which is rated and priced for its sound performance. Primary focus is PICTURE. It's wise though to get a telly with SPIDF optical sound connection for flexibility and at least 2 HDMI connections. Most of the modern units have this but its worth the check. I won't go into the merits of TV Plasma vs LED vs LCD. It all depends on what the viewer watches or plays games on most often. Sport enthusiasts should ask like reviewers for feedback.Panasonic sell the most Plasma TV units in the USA and that is a massive commendation for Plasma. Frankly their reviews are impressive. So I decided the Plasma was for me. Loved the Panasonic but it was not in the budget range. Instead I chose a Samsung PS43D450HD (TESCO DIRECT). It is relatively basic in terms of connection capability and stand alone sound is average, but it is MAGNIFICENT in near perfect picture reproduction.The value is in the fewer bells and whistles for a TV this size. It has built in Freeview which is fine. But if you want to take advantage of the 4 HD channels available at the moment from our National Broadcasters then you should get a Freeview HD box. I use the Icecrypt (AMAZON) which is really good in that it upscales to near HD as well. I also have (and have had for well into my second contract year) BT vision which only transmits HD ON DEMAND PAY MOVIES. Please assess this carefully if this is what you expect cos all other stuff is in SD. I cannot comment on Sky as I have no experience of this.Finally what would you marry this Onkyo to if you want DVD or Bluray MOVIES? My choice is the Sony BDSP 380 player (AMAZON) with Smart internet connection and Love Film options.Conclusion: I paid under £800 for ALL the above kit, which is some bargain for a system of this calibre.Feel free to drop me a line if you feel I can be useful in your decision making or if you have hassles setting up.Regards. a close shave

This item is great for the money.Its a substantial rotary shaver, tilting heads to get into all the contours of yer craggy face...lolThis comes with a stand, and a bottle of cleaning solution, which you fill the little reservoir in the stand with.The shaver, I found gave a beautiful smooth, close shave. I have previously been using the philips nivea shaver, and this new one seems to perform better, smoother.When you have finished shaving, put the shaver into its stand, flip the little tab over on the top, and press the clean button on the stand's base, and your stand will slowly lower your shaver into the cleaning solution, and the shaver will switch itself on to give it a good clean, whirring away to get rid of the debris.When this process has finished, the stand will automatically raise the shaver out of the solution bath again.The solution is supposed to clean AND lubricate your shaver heads, and also leaves the shaver smelling fresh.Not sure of the current price of this system, as it seems to have disapppeared off the amazon site, but if you are looking for a decent shaver, then I would thoroughly recommend this, without hesitation, and if anyone should be able to make shavers, then it should be philips!!

excellent cordless rechargeable electric shaver

I've had a few electric shaver over the years, and the Powertouch by Phillips is one of the best I have used, and the shaver being cordless is a definite bonus. It charges quickly, gives a good, clean-feeling close shave, but what is unique is the cleaning system.The shaver sits with the shaving head in the jet clean system (after adding the "ocean breeze scented" liquid that comes with the kit) - and it charges the razor whilst cleaning. It takes around an hour for a full charge, or 3 minutes for a quick charge (enough for one shave).The only negatives are: I don't know how much the jet clean solution costs yet, or how easy it is to obtain, and the instructions are picture based, no text, so takes a little while to fully understand the charging system.One word of advice - be careful when moving the charging / cleaning system - as it contains liquid, and if it is tipped sideways, the liquid will spill.

A great fresh clean shave

I was pondering how many stars to give the PoweTouch Plus PT870cc for some time, and have decided on a pretty generous 4.The pros are that it gives an excellent close shave. This is my first rotary shaver (have always preferred a wet shave ... plus I have a braun) so was impressed by how good the shave was.It has a quality look and feel about it, although the heads do not pivot as much as other Philips shavers.The Lithium battery should give you a weeks worth of shaves without any trouble at all and it is certainly quieter than my braun.On the cons side, at 175 quid, i think it is very expensive ... there is a little motorised plinth that lowers into the cleaning solution which is cool the first couple of times you see it in action ... but I wonder how much it added to the price.I have found the Jet Wash solution on Amazon, at a fiver, or 4.25 if you buy on subscription (great idea) but could not find it in my local Boots.The unit is supplied with a 2 pin plug which is useful if you are in a hotel, or you have a 2 pin adapter in your bathroom, but a bit of a pain if you don't. I'm lucky that I have a 3 pin mains cable for by Philips Stubble trimmer with fits. I am a little surprised that Philips did not supply an adapter to make it 3 pin as nearly every gadget I buy these days is supplied with one.The jet clean fluid goes into a small reservoir in the charging base, and great care must be taken when moving the unit or spill will occur.My Braun also has a cleaning system, but that is based on sealed cartridges that slide into the bottom of the unit. Quite pricey I think, but very little chance of spills.It is too early to predict how much cleaning fluid the system will use, my guess is that quite a bit will simple evaporate in warmer weather.So the 4 stars is primarily for the closeness of the shave and the quality of the shaver ... rather than the Jet cleaning side of things.

Chose these training shoes as they are perfect for using when on a ride. They fit easily into the pedal cages. Very comfortable. May progress to running in them once I have practiced the barefoot technique

I love these. I'm a little fat lady in my mid-forties but with these trainers I am a little girl of 2 years old running around like I've had too much sugar.I was very happy with the company that I bought them from too. Delivery was a few days earlier than I thought it would be. Great service and a fantastic price too!

A first class product .The second type of these shoes Ihave purchased.As a resonable distance runner 2x10 mile runs a week I find these shoes fantastic .I w2as bothered with knee pain when I run any distance this has now vanished .Ifeel runiing in these shoes less stressful ,effortless and would recomend them considering the price which is half what would you would pay a# for a quality conventional running shoe its a win win situation

Take the rough with the smooth

There are basically three types of shaves - blade, foil and rotary. More often this divides into three camps - Gillette, Braun and Philips. I will admit now that I have used Braun for more years than I can recall, but thought I'd give this 'Wet and Dry' shaver a go - and was pleasantly surprised.Once you get through the bomb-proof packaging, requiring a really good blade of some sort to penetrate the plastic bubble it is sealed in, it is extremely light. Curved to fit comfortably in the hand, with a rubber coating on the buttons. And there are only two buttons - one very large on the inside of the grip to switch it on and off and another on the back to release the pop-up hair-trimmer.Charging takes one hour, during which a small light on the back pulses. It is surprisingly quiet when used. I thought the battery was drained when I first heard it, but the rotary blades do not make a great deal of noise. Mind you, the hair-trimmer makes up for that - don't use that if you're worried about waking anyone up!As a dry shave it doesn't appear to be as good as the foil shaver I generally use, appearing to require several re-visits to get the skin as smooth as I am used to. However, it is considerably better than smaller shavers I usually take on holiday. With a foil shaver I can tell by the noise of the foil sliding across my face just how closely I have been shaved. With this I keep having to check with my other hand. Not the end of the world.Cleaning this is just a matter of running it under the tap. The face, with the blades on, flips open and you can run the water inside. There is also a small brush included for regular maintenance.Using this for a wet shave is impressive. It feels so much smoother and does appear to do a far better job than a dry shave. The shaving foam doesn't bother it, just rinse it now and again so it doesn't disappear under the foam as you move it around. So if you have the time it is definitely worth it.It comes with a small pouch that has a cord to hang it from. It would have been nice if this pouch had a little pocket to store the brush in - I will lose the brush eventually. A small instruction manual shows with diagrams how to charge, use, clean and maintain it.Many, many years ago I tried a Philips shaver and thought I was going to end up like Freddy Kruger, but this is such a nice shaver. If I have the time for a wet shave then I will use in preference to any other shave. If you're from the Philips camp of shaving I think you're in for a treat.

Closest electric shave I've had - and it can be used wet too

This Philips shaver ticks all the boxes: quick to charge, long run times, quiet in operation and most importantly of all gives a really good shave.Used as a traditional electric shaver it performs well; so well that I have to say it's probably the closest electric shave I've had. No tugging or post-shave soreness either.But the ace up its sleeve is that you can shave wet with this shaver. That doesn't mean shave whilst in the shower, it means using foam or gel as though you were going to use a blade.I tried it using Nivea gel foam (comes out as green gel and goes on your face as foam, magic) which this shaver then removed as part of the shaving process leaving my skin even smoother than before.No clogging of the head either and you just rinse the head under water afterward, shake off the excess and put it away. Simples. And a perfect shave too.The foam acts as a lubricant which allows the shaver to glide over your face. And it really does remove ALL the shaving foam as it does it, giving further proof that it shaves closely.So, a quiet, smooth shave with a washable shaver - what more can you ask for?

Surprised how good it was!!

I have a strong beard growth , so get though razors far to quickly . I used an electronic shaver in the old days , and it used to pull on my hair .. pluck me like a turkey !!... hated it !!Since I have had this shaver ,I have never had any " plucking " , the shave is very close ( far closer than some very expensive wet blades.I use it " wet " with my shaving gel , water etc... wonderful ...This has now replaced all my blades and its very quiet !!Very impressed
