An excellent TV
By Chris S
I very recently purchased this TV and have so far found it to be an excellent TV. I previously owned a 32" Samsung LCD TV and also have experience with Sony TV's. I have always found that Sony inparticular seem to overcomplicate things. In comparision with both Sony and my previous Samsung I am finding the LG model far more user friendly with bigger, brighter, clearer menus and controls. It was very easy to set up and tune channels. This is my first step up to full 1080p definition and I have been very impressed. The picture is simply stunning and Blu Ray films have to be seen to be believed. Multiple picture modes allow you to adjust picture for TV/ Movie/ Gaming etc, which is a good feature.Freeview HD is an excellent addition and makes good use of the TV's picture quality. Consequently I am finding it quite hard switching back to SD (Standard Definition)!I would note that prior to ordering I would recommend doing some research on screen size vs. viewing distance. Getting the right size TV for your room is very important. Everyone should be aware that recommended viewing distances for HD are much smaller than for SD so if you are going to spend most of your time watching SD TV you are going to want to sit further back.I would highly recommend this TV. Very good quality. Freeview HD excellent. Price (£429)is unbeatable (I checked extensively before buying!). I ordered at 3pm on Friday on Amazon Prime. It was delivered at 9am the next day. Top marks Amazon.

I love LG! :D
By Kim, East Yorkshire
Bought this as its full HD, which obviously gets us the extra HD channels without needing an additional box. I already have a 42" LG HD ready tv, which I've had about 18 months, and I have no complaints about it at all. But this one is even better, and so slim! Would recommend LG to anyone without reservation. Easy to set up, picture quality is excellent, plenty of scope for any changes you could want to make in expert mode. But to me the pre-set modes are more then adequate. Delivery as always with Amazon was swift, and tv arrived in perfect condition. I have no bad comments to make.

Wow!!
By Rincewind
I wanted a screen to use as a third TV and as an HD computer monitor. I read many online reviews, and this LG seemed to match all my requirements. As a PC HD monitor it is truly 5 star - perfectly clear whether reading small fonts or watching HD DVDs. The surprise came when using it as a TV, and comparing it with my Sony and Sagem HD TVs. The LG was intended as a third screen but is now used as equal first choice with the 55" full HD Sony! Choices, choices, choices - poor me! I recommend this LED screen to all my family and friends - less than 2 seconds to "warm up", perfect picture, decent sound, input ports to suit anyone, and the swivel base is ideal for changing viewing positions between TV and PC.

Robust and solid
By John H
I bought this to go underneath an inflatable hot tub on a concrete base - it is good quality heavy duty.It was easy to put together and was exactly what I was looking for.It seems reasonable value and in my case is certainly effective. I imagine it can be used, just like the manufacturer says, for many, many things. There is some give in it - it is not rock solid but is dense enough in relation to it's thickness to be reassuringly supportive. It is not heavy but, again, seems just about how you would expect it to feel. Not too heavy but not feeble. A good product which I would easily recommend.

Good product if used right
By Random Task
Good mat for the moneys. I put mine wall to wall to convert a room into a gym. I cut them to size to get the whole floor covered, I glued them down and I duck-taped the joints. I now have a really good floor covering for a home gym. They are not that hard wearing as they will mark if you drop something sharp on them, but stand up fine otherwise. Great for a gym, might be less inclined to use them in a workshop though with tools.

Tweaking the picture settings pays dividends
By C. Irwin
I bought this tv to replace a 40" Sony that has been reassigned to Wii/PS3 duty in my son's playroom.Unboxing, assembling the stand, locating the tv and putting in the connections took a matter of minutes. For the first day or so I was quite unhappy with the picture quality - the colours seemed washed out. I'm using a Home Theatre PC attached to the TV, so I ran the Windows Colour Calibration utility, which takes you step by step through adjusting brightness, contrast and colour tint, and the picture quality improved massively. Then I loaded a DVD with THX (the George Lucas picture & audio enhancement) and used the THX video adjustment process to go through a similar process to the one I did with the Windows colour calibration. With those 2 rounds of tweaking the picture on this LG TV is brilliant. As I'm running a PC through the TV I often use it as a monitor with a wireless keyboard - with the Sony TV I used to struggle to make out the text - with the LG it's very clear and easy on the eye.HD footage is remarkable on the screen. I think it's something to do with having the blacks properly configured. Images have a clarity and depth that at times feels like 3D.Edit - I originally said "My only real niggle with this TV is that the viewing angle is not as good as the old Sony. Colours start to wash out if you sit more than about 45 degrees either side of the centre line (90 degree total angle). They don't wash out massively at that level, but it's noticeable.".However - I discovered that playing with the settings gave a much clearer, brighter picture that stands up to much wider viewing angles. My settings are:Energy Saving: OffBacklight: 67Contrast: 87Brightness: 53H Sharpness: 50V Sharpness: 50Colour: 50Tint: 0In Expert settings submenu:Black level: HighGamut: WideColour temperature: CoolThis, for me, gives a really excellent picture.

Great telly
By Mr. N. P. Tompkins
Had a bit of a problem to start with because dark scenes were just too dark, no use when trying to watch a moody thriller or spy movie!Eventually found a menu for all the detailed tweaks to light levels, contrast, etc and after setting it up it is the business. I read reviews before buying that said the sound was a bit weak but i haven't found it so.

VERY happy
By Jimmy
Having only beared witness to maximum of a 32" tv in my lifetime, this telly really takes the biscuit. It's amazing, standard scart input quality is really very good, i was expecting a much more disminished picture on such a big screen but it's fine, 1080 immediately just sticks a grin on your chops. The response time is only 3.5ms and i haven't noticed as much "blurring" when watching fast detailed motion like football as i did on my previous LCD tv.There is a very helpful picture optimisation wizard so you don't have to try endless numerical combinations of settings to get the picture looking right either. This is a LED TV (despite someone suggesting otherwise), it's under 3cm deep and the screen is side-lit as opposed to back-lit. You can notice this (lighting) if there is one matte colour being displayed, the sides will appear lighter then the middle of the screen but it's not annoying. On a sunny day the screen does seem to reflect a lot of light although i don't know if this is just because it's so big and also i like to have the screen relatively dim anyway. The speakers aren't amazing but that is to be expected on such a slimline telly. The tv is not over powering on your eyes and the viewing area is very good, on my last sony lcd telly if you were looking up to it, the top of the screen would become very dark and you basically couldn't see what was going on, but this one doesn't have any such problems!I thoroughly recommend it !!!

Great gift
By Satisfied customer
I bought these as a birthday present for my bestfriend and they were great! Looked fantastic, great quality, nice packaging and impressive price. They are small and neat enough to wear every day but with the diamonds it makes them a bit special! Excellent buy.

Disappointing for the price
By D. Wilkes
These are well made, and have a really secure clasp which I wanted. However, the diamonds weren't very sparkly. To be frank, I ordered CZirconia ones at the same for comparison, and it does make you wonder whether it's worth buying diamonds, for everyday use. However, the hoop was solid all the way round, while the cheaper ones have gold-saving holes in them.

Really quite well finished and surprisingly heavy {more gold) Really ordered when her others were away being repaired. She now has her own back but will not take these off (typical woman) but says it all. Very good value.
