As good as it gets

Not cheap to buy but the best quality and most durable bits I have ever owned. Will undoubtedly last for years with the DIY use I will put them to. This makes them great value for money in my opinion. The packaging/presentation is first class and demonstrates the quality of product that Wera produce. Clearly, a lot of thought goes into the design of the tools. Highly recommended as are all of the tools this company produces. (Just a satisfied customer not linked to the company in any way).

Quality stuff

These bits will probably outlast my days of being able to hold a drill straight enough. The case is absolutely lovely with a sleek opening mechanism, the adapter is a pleasure to work with and it's also magnetic. Some of them are diamond coated to offer maximum resistance and it shows. They all have individual serial numbers, so if one gets worked to the bone (which is quite improbable) there is no need to order a new set, just get the appropriate bit form Wera. There is a good reason why they are expensive, it's because people put thought and research into them. And it shows. The quality is flawless and it's comforting to know that you're using the best there is. Well, maybe not the best, I am sure some guy from the Ferrari or whatever production line can boast sugar coated, solid diamond, 4585 and a half carat screwdriver bits...but within sensible people's price range, you cannot and will not go wrong with these.

Decent headunit, few problems.

I have this unit with the navigation system. There are a few things that could have been done better.1.) The USB connection for IPOD etc is on the FRONT. Even after purchasing the pioneer ipod cable recommended in the user guide, I was only able to connect to the front of the unit (I was hoping to hide the ipod somewhere in a glovebox with no wires). This makes the front look messy. Also, the recommended pioneer cable for the ipod is a standard ipod cable, just black, and costs 20 pounds.. what a rip off..2.) The interface is far from intuitive. It looks pretty enough, and the touchscreen is responsive, but it's not a case of pick up and go. You will have to read the manual and deal with confused friends who try to navigate through this for a first time. Likewise, the nav screen is ALSO not intuitive.Overall, great little unit, but I wish I had got the Alpine or Clarion offerings instead if only for the nicer interface.

Tough bit of kit.

I've been using the Crusader Cooker for a couple of weeks now and and very pleased I purchased it. It's always in my pack now and is great for making an impromptu brew mid trek.BCB recommend you use GreenHeat Gel with the cooker (not included in the kit) which personally I'm not a fan of after using it. I have found that one packet of GreenHeat will just about bring half a cup of water to the boil so for a rolling boil you would have to use two packets. I'm also not a fan of the smell of GreenHeat either so I've moved onto using solid fuel tabs instead as they last longer, boil faster and don't smell as much.One other thing to note is that the description for the item states "Folding Spork stainless steel (as listed on website)" as part of the kit, I didn't receive a folding spork as part of mine.Apart from that, a great, flexible bit of kit that is now part of my standard kit every time I go walking.

Compact, practical and tough.

I have been using the BCB Crusader for about 6 months now and have been very pleased with the system. The whole kit packs very nicely into its case and provides a basic set for two people to enjoy a hot drink or meal. There is room in the case for some other articles, I take a magnifier (for map reading or using the sun to ignite a fire) a few British Army matches and spare fuel gel.The stove is easy to deploy in seconds and its great advantage is its multi fuel capability. Fuel gel is the suggested fuel, this has the advantage of not transmitting smells to food. Having tried out gel, though, I use only as a back up now. I think the boil time quoted is a little optimistic, more like 10 mins for 500ml. I use a homemade penny stove, made from two cider cans. This stove fits snugly into the burner well of the stove and provides a faster boil and the ability to simmer food. The stove gives excellent wind protection, whatever the fuel used. A pot hanger for cooking directly over a fire is included in the kit.The water bottle is very tough and I fill this before setting out in case clean water is not available. The bottle fits snugly into the metal cup, the plastic cup fits over the top of the bottle. There is a cover which fits over the metal cup/cook pot but I never use this whilst cooking as the plastic is too easy to melt, especially when using over a fire. It is good to pop over the cup though, when boiling is finished, to keep a drink warmer for longer. Another cover to fit the plastic cup would be useful.All in all a cracking piece of kit for walkers, motorcyclists, campers and anyone else that needs hot drinks and food fast, using a kit that takes little room.

Tough enough

This cookset has it all: robust, large capacity and versatile. The stove itself isn't good for anything more than boiling small amounts of water but the mugs are great for general purpose eating and drinking. The non-stick coating flakes off easily so I'd get the stainless steel option next time and don't use it with the plastic lid on a fire. The bottle is excellent as is the way the mugs fit around it.

Condensation? What's that?! This tent is PERFECT for car camping

I noticed that this tent (the "air" version of the 3-person Quechua 2 seconds) hadn't yet been reviewed, hence this.If you don't mind the 4.6kg weight (so probably not so suitable for backpacking) and the fact because the packed tent is circular, when you carry it on your back using the supplied rucksack straps you'll both look like a Ninja turtle as well as knocking loads of stuff over as you walk, then it's BRILLIANT. Especially for car (and wild) camping, which is what we use it for.Even if it's raining, it's up in a jiffy (pegs can come later, but the main four which attach the guy lines are a good minimum in our experience and do a good job in gusting-wind). Taking it down is a pain if it's wet, but is quick none-the-less and we found getting the hang of this aspect is MUCH easier if you have a look on Youtube first! Also, unlike some other tents, it does fit back into the bag supplied with it (which, btw, also has a couple of nifty pouches for pegs and guy lines). The bag itself is waterproof (not something we knew) but having packed away a sodden tent a couple of times and no water being visible in the boot, we were grateful to discover this aspect.Anyway, this particular tent has a "hidden" feature which refers to the "air" in the product title. The naturally-sprung side wings really work and we're SO glad we got this version of the tent.As every experienced camper knows, water on the inside of the tent (unless you're unbelievably unlucky) is not because of a leaking tent, but because warm air from your breath (and cooking) condenses on the tent's interior fabric (which is cooler). Okay - lesson over - but the point is, ventilation is vital, especially when it's raining and/or not very breezy. We were in virtually monsoon conditions recently lasting most of the night and all the next day (it wasn't the best of holidays it's true), with both flaps 3/4 open and not only was there no condensation, but no water came in!Also, because the flaps are separate from the inner tent, you're still protected from mozzies/midges etc. as the inner tent's only entry/exit is via the door, so opening/closing the flaps has no bearing on this aspect.The only points of possible improvement would be a proper covered porch area - in other words, more than the few inches you get between the inner and outer tent - and sufficient height for standing; but as it is, it's still pretty good overall.

Best 3D experience outside cinema

Being a big Sony and Samsung fan I was not sure how LG would stand up to those I had tested and there seemed to be lot of negative press surrounding passive 3d tv's. Loss of resolution etc. I had tried many top of the range Bravias, once for extended viewing at a friends house and (similar to Samsung) also in store and I could not get used the flicker. It just didn't feel natural and the glasses felt very heavy and one actually got warm with prolonged use. Even a $2k Bravianjustdidnt feel natural and there was slight ghosting and a general uncomfortable viewing experience. I wanted cinema experience at home and made a decision 3d was not for me in that form. And then the LG passive was release with a lot of press from da Singh and Sony saying wasn't true HD. I took a gamble via a recommendation from a friend. Now I don't know if any loss of resolution is more prominent in the 47 version but I van honestly say it's the best 3d experience I have had outside a cinema. And I'm fussy! No perceivable loss od resolution, no heavy u comfortable glasses and no worrying about batteries, syncing and most of all a crystal clear gorgeous 3D picture. Don't listen to the Sontag/Samsung propaganda... This is the best 3d experience at home bar none at least on a 42! This is what 3d should be about. Just like the cinema... Now just got to get a copy of Avatar!

Fantastic value for money

Took me a lot of convincing to even consider LG. Spend the best part of Saturday going through all the boring specs on Hertz, size, make, 3D etc etc. Shortlisted this and the Samsung 6530, the Samsung being the little pretty thing. Its the perfect size for a 4 x 5 meter living room. Easy to use. Looks great. Sound quality is not bad (considering its thinness), but complimented it with a small set of Bose speakers none the less. I am not yet converted to the whole 3D thing, purely on the lack of content out there. The internet connectivity is brilliant but the lack of applications and the struggle to use the internet (mobile phone like keyboard) is a real pain, but that's any across all its peers. The Samsung in comparison had a cartoonish image quality. All in all a great buy and very highly recommended.

I actually measure just under 47 and so was dissapointed but note some makes are small fitting. Both were returned for refunds.By contrast this size 48 fits! Now I know some say you should go a size up for leather jackets but having read other reviews for the larger size of this jacket I took a chance and went for my chest size and am so pleased I did - a size up would have been too big.So pleased at the price and value for money. Ok, you want a £500 plus jacket then pay that. For an occasional fair weather (spring/summer/autumn) rider this is perfect and should last a good few seasons.

Nice large and soft towels, but not as soft once you wash them

I bought these towels for my new house to have a nice set in my new bathroom. I was not disappointed; the bath sheets are large and the entire set is softer and more absorbent than cotton. I washed one to see how it would come out but did not wash the rest of the set at first. I don't use fabric softener (but I do use a dryer) and there was a noticeable difference in softness between the towel which was washed and those that were not, which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise, however, I was very happy with these towels.
