A new way of playing

Yes it does take ages to update etc. however it is worth it. Once updated everything works smoothly and the best bit is how good multiplayer gaming is. By using the tv and the pad each player sees a different view of the game. No split screens. Playing the ghost and ghost hunters against each other in Luigi's Ghost Mansion is tremendous fun. A massive improvement on the wii, we love it.

I have been waiting a very long time for the release of this product and I more than happy with the arrival. The gamepad is near enough a tablet and connecting you tube to my tv is quality. Nintendoland is out of this world and so addictive! I've played on it none stop. Miiverse is a great way to connect to online users and chat in forums. Chatting has helped me with many of my blonde moments setting up. Yes the update takes a long time but once its done its a great piece of kit. I have loved all nintendo products and this release has made me feel like I'm with the times. My 8 year old loves it as well. Can't get off him. Well done nintendo you have made me more than happy with my long wait and purchase. Roll on the release of Mario Kart 8 u

Innovation

I've been a huge Nintendo fanboy for years, so with good reason. Nintendo have always been thinking about new ways to play the game, and the Wii U is a fine example of that. Not only have the graphics been suped up to keep up with the PS3 and Xbox (and finally shut up all the gamers who cry about graphics all the time) but the console itself is slick and stylish and easy to use. It does take a little more adjustment than the original Wii, getting used to knowing when to switch screens and balancing out the gyroscope and the controls takes a little time, but it's a very rewarding gaming experience overall. With strong single-player games like ZombiU showing off the ability to make and innovate serious games, while holding on to the younger market with VERY fun multiplayer games like Nintendo Land, this console is one of impress. I bought mine on launch day, full price, and haven't regretted it for a moment since. An awesome console, from an awesome company.
