My opinion of the Cel HT2 20" Hedge Trimmer.

First impression, light to hold, due to lithium battery I suspect.Cuts well, but one must avoid overloading or stalling it.No clear instruction as to whether charging is fully automatic,as no indication is given when the battery is full.Seems well made.

Not the cheapest cordless hedge trimmer but sometimes you do get what you pay for.Very lightweight and easy to use and quiet for an electrical appliance. The handle incorporates a 3 sided switch so whichever angle you are using the trimmer its easy to keep it switched on and like all trimmers you need both hands to keep it going.Battery life is good I cut a 50ft length of privet hedge around 4-5ft high, cutting back into quite thick stems and still had enough battery to go back and trim the top and sides again.I have only given 4 stars as the instruction manual does not cover the battery and I assume that the light on the charger would turn green when ready but it stayed red.Cel emailed instructions but they should be included. The lights on the battery itself blink in a cycle red/yellow/green and when they stop the battery is fully charged which takes around 5 hours.If you push the charger in too far the release buttons dont work and you have to almost force it off of the battery so I would recommend pushing in on just enough to start the light on the battery doing their thing and ignore the red and green lights on the charger.I have small hands and I can just about span the battery pack and push the release buttons to disengage the battery from the handle something I couldnt do at all with the Bosch grass trimmer I had ( and returned ) You have to be quite brutal to get it to part company with the cutter and as it is plastic I am not sure it would last long but as you dont trim hedges every day I suppose it will last long enough before something breaks off or cracks.
