This is a really good watch, looks good and the time is easy to read. The only shortcoming is the date is very difficult to read.

Great value and good looker too ..............

This is a lovely watch and well up to the expected standard from Rotary - I own a few of their watches and this one is `up there` with some of the best.This watch has the same face as the gold plated version (also bought for a bargain price) and the case shape is the same too. This watch is quite heavy mainly due to the (dedicated) metal links strap. As I expected it`s too big for my wrist so I`ll have to remove some links, there are four available each side of the neat closing clasp and with pins that can just be pushed out, shouldn`t be too difficult to remove. The actual clasp is a great design and you won`t be breaking any fingernails levering up a friction catch used on some other watches. Just squeeze the two sprung pads either side and the strappops open - excellent. On receipt you`ll find the strap is well protected with a film wrap which needs careful removal. A similar but separate plastic film protects the watch face and I suggest you remove this only after removing the links (if necessary) so when the watch is face down on the table the glass won`t get scratched. You can then remove this `face` protection.At this price, with a saving of of over £65, this watch is a real bargain and it`s also `waterproof`. Delivery was ahead of schedule as always withAmazon - so well done.In response to other reviewers comment I didn`t find the `date` window hard to read at all but maybe that`s just me. This is a great looking watch and just breathes quality with a capital Q.The crown wheel needs pushing down and screwing back before you can pull it out to adjust the time (two clicks out) and the date (one click out). You screw the crown wheel back down after adjustments. Nice also to see (like the gold plated version) that this watch back is removed by taking out four tiny screws so no prising off the back. The back plate specifies a replacement battery type which is an SR621SW.My recommendation - "buy one"

Have been looking for quality watch without a second hand for quite some time as there aren't many to be found.Quite honestly I just expected this to be ok to wear on odd occasions.Have to admit it's one of the comfiest watches i've worn.Maybe just lucky as it's not the lightest watch around,but fits well,is nicely balanced, tough and waterproof.Cracking watch for less than 30 quid and delivered within 48 hours
