nVidia GTX550 ti TOP
By I. T. Jones
Great value graphics card, comes overclocked at 975Mhz. Replaced a venerable 8800 GTS as it would only run Skyrim in Low res - now set to Ultra High and the 550 ti more than copes.

Excellent
By Doug
I bought this card to replace my trusty 9800GT. Skyrim now runs at 1920 x 1080, ultra high, everything switched on, typical 55 fps and no lower than 45 fps where there's a lot of action. Prompted me to reinstall Oblivion with everything set to max, fps stays at 60 all the time. The GPU fan is inaudible at idle rising to fairly quiet on load, certainly not obtrusive.I was not comfortable with the included Asus Smart Doctor software and I installed Evga Precision X (free prog) which gives me all the control I need and a temperature chart of the last few minutes' use. With room temp of 22c, the idle temp in my rig is 38c rising to 75c max on load. Asus quote 100c max so there's plenty of headroom.I like the way the card automatically reduces its clock speed on idle (50mhz) and increases it via two steps to its rated 975mhz on load. I know I could try tweaking clocks but I'm very happy with the performance as is.Win 7 x 64i5-750 CPUAsus P55 motherboard8gb RAMCrucial SSDAsus GTX550 TI TOP
