XTalons give you the edge

I bought these shoes at the start of my second year of fell running, after they had been recommended by many friends. I have not been disappointed, since their lightness and grip is far superior to the Salomons I had been wearing previously. Snug fitting, they are equally at home on mud, grass or rock and the secure purchase on the latter, when descending at speed has alllowed me to shave several seconds off my times this year. Although I was initially sceptical over the longevity of these shoes, given the soft 'sticky' rubber of the soles, I have been impressed and foresee that my initial pair will last a complete season, racing every weekend.

Have only been out in these twice so far but they are a quality shoe.Grip on sole is astonishing ,feels like I could walk upside down on glass.Was concerned that there would be little cushioning given they are extremely light (they weigh less than my flip flops) however what the construction of the shoe lacks the sole compensates for.Will carry these when on a bike tour instead of my flip flops as they are so light and they look good .I bought size 12/47 and they are exactly that.Wearing them with thinsish socks which is all they are ever designed for .Bought them from Sportshoes Direct through Amazon.Have bought through these previously and deleivery /price are top.

I bought these shoes on the recommendation of my son who is a serious cross-country runner, and in turn I can thoroughly recommend them. I run on a muddy, slippery moor and they give really good grip, but are also excellent on the road. My son has just completed a race in them in dreadful conditions and said they performed brilliantly, so they get the thumbs up from both of us.
