This Skil drill is a Bosch in the same way as a VW Sharan/Ford Galaxy is a Seat Alhambra. Makita have a budget range by the name Site and Bosch have a budget range called Skil. I am very pleased with this. Not only does it do the job but it also looks like a professional piece of equipment not commonly used by the DIYers.

Fantastic chisel drill - but didn't last long!

Purchased this drill to chisel plaster off walls in an old house. The variable speed meant I had a lot of control and didn't cause damage to the stonework underneath. Has enough power when needed, though I imagine some people may want a bit more. Unfortunately the 2nd time I used it, the drill started to work only intermittently, then it began to spark and smoke and I had to send it back for a refund and replacement which Amazon did without issue. However I am not happy that I had to pay postage at £12.30 to return it!!! Although this isn't the fault of Skil, if this replacement fails like the first it will have been an expensive waste of time. If however, this second drill lasts, I would recommend this product unreservedly. Time will tell!!

I just wanna say BUY IT now dont even think about it.I have make wholes in my apartment that is hard betton and it never stops.It just do what you say to do :)Amazing build quallity amazing product,amazing price!
