LaCie Play HD 2TB

Well what can I say. What a great product, firstly arrived from amazon two days early, well done amazon!. Was surprised by the size of the machine, not too big and very nice in a black polished shell. Plenty of adaptors depending on which country you are using the plug for, instruction guidance and a cd with a user manual on it. HDMI cable included so didn't need to buy one and the USB cable to connect to computer. Computer had no problem finding the device found straight away and it's as easy as it says just drag and drop onto the LaCie and you can add your files to it.Very quiet device hardly hear it and has a cool blue light at the front of the device to let u know it is working. Playback is very good on the device of video footage. Plays every file so far that I have chucked at it, obviously more files you have the longer it takes for playback to be done, but this is merely seconds. You can also control the volume and mute your tv with the LaCie remote control as it works through the hdmi. 2tb hard drive is plenty of space for all your files and I'm tempted to get one for my sons room, it works that well. I was sceptical about buying this after my apple tv 1st gen died on me, but I wish I bought this in the first place.The device doesn't get that hot either, had it on for 9 hours straight and it's hardly warm.My only negatives is that you can link it to the Internet, but then you can buy a Internet version and also there are no cover art options for the film files. I think a way round this though is to save a picture file with the film file and then place them in a folder together, haven't tried this yet though.Overall very good product and very pleased that I bought it.

Needed a hard drive fast, and seeing as this had gotten good reviews i decided to try it out. And i must say, it exceeds every expectation i had.Works silently, no heating problem, upscales all my videos, feels/looks/sounds great!I have nothing but praise for this piece of equipment, i am looking to buying a second one, i just hope they can start making 5TB sets, that would be awesome!!!!!Thanks Lacie!

Amazing Much?

Ok before I start on what's good I let you know the only bad point. If you are from the UK dont expect a UK plug it will come with a multitude of adapters but no English 3 pin plug so had to buy an adapter. Apart from that This unit is amazing, has played all formats I have put on it including some that didn't work on my Xbox. From what I have tested it has played AVI MKV WMV MP3 and all DivX variants. Surprisingly quite unless you leave it on a desk in which case you can here it vibrate I just place it on a plastic mat and its fine. All in All very Happy
