The Mio Spirit 485 has been designed to make getting to your destination a lot easier. The new Parking Assistance feature automatically shows a list of parking spaces when you are within 1km of your destination, so you don't have to search for a nearby car park. To find where you want to go quickly and easily, Keyword Search works in the same way as you search online: simply enter any word and it brings up results in order of their proximity to your current location. Use combinations of places and keywords to get even more accurate results.
When driving it's important to make sure you're in the correct lane to make the right turn at the right time. Lane Guidance prepares you for the journey ahead by telling you which lane you need to be in and Junction View provides realistic 3D views to ensure that you know where your motorway exit is, just in case you miss the signs.

Pretty good but few accessories

It works pretty well, the mount is felxible and the screen clear enough. The icons aren't as intuitive as I would like but while ym wife drove I messed with the settings and sussed it all out pretty quickly. The voice is a bit stop-start and some of the pronumciations odd. Finds sats pretty fast, plots routes and generally does everything you want it to. ALarms for excessive speed, speed cameras and red light cameras.I was annoyed there is no USB cable or mains PSU in the box, which meant the recommended eight hours original charge is practicallt impossible. Plus the instructions that come with it are slack, and the software is on DVD - I only have a CD drive on the PC. Hmmm.These are niggles though. We like it, liked the price and are generally pretty happy with it.

The initial 8 hour charge can only be achieved by driving for 8 hours or buying a sepArate home plug in charger. All works very easily though although some of the pronunciation is a little off. Very easy to operate and set up straight from the box. Buy a home charger as well.
