QNAP NAS Review

I bought this NAS to store all my blu-rays and audio CDs on in flac format, and I use it in conjunction with a QNAP NMP 1000P and the set up works fine streaming flac audio and 5.1 HD blu ray disks to my sound system. It all works extremely well as expected but there are a few things to watch out for.1. Before you buy any hard drives, check the QNAP compatibility list and and user experiences; if you don't you could make a very expensive mistake. I am using Hitachi 5K3000 hard drives.2. Make sure your network is sound for streaming and avoid using router switches.3. I am using RAID 6, so I am only at risk of losing data if more than 2 drives fail.I like it, it has more features than you will probably ever need and the Amazon price was the best.
