Nice looking furniture, shame about the clock hands

We liked the look of the clock on the website and were attracted by the 'spinning ' pendulum as this purchase was to replace a similar clock bought about 15 years ago which recently stopped working. Still looked good when we unpacked it and set it up but then the disappointment started - the black hour-hand is almost impossible to see as it doesn't extend as far as the chapter ring (numerals disc) and is so delicate that it gets lost among the high-sheen skeleton works. The minute-hand does at least reach the chapter ring and in suitable lighting conditions its position can just about be discerned. It's a pity that the designers didn't use more substantial hands which would be easier to see against the busy high-sheen skeleton background. We've now bought another clock to see the time and this one will be relegated to a piece of decoration.

Loved the item. It looks very classy and was promptly delivered on time. Unfortunately there was a crack in the glass and would have to return it, but will be ordering another one.
