Superb Flashgun

Dont be mislead by Nikon / Canon die-hards trying to discourage purchasing of something like this. I have used this Mk2 DI866 from Nissin non stop for a week now, both in studio and private functions. Bounce flash with the front fill gives exquisite results. Portrait and studio work has become something else with this.One thing I was unsure of was the slight array of electrical noises coming from the unit once powered up. I wrote an email to Nissin, and one of their electronics engineers came back to me within a few hours and explained the noises were normal and coming from xyz component on xyz circuit under abc conditions. They know their stuff and their customer support actually wants to hear about your feedback so they can continue to improve.I use a Nikon DSLR, and it works symbiotically with the ITTL through the DI866.For the price / features / power output, you could not get more for your money.

I wanted a powerful, multi-functional flashgun for my Nikon D300, but I couldn't afford the large price tag of the SB900.I did a lot of research before buying the Nissin di866 mkII and decided to buy it. It's great! It is completely compatible with Nikon's CLS (creative lighting system) and I reckon it gives the much more expensive Nikon SB900 a run for its money.I love it and am saving up for another one.

Very easy menu the TTL very easy to set up just use the left and right buttons to adjust very straitght forward and easy to use.
