Unusual and attractive piece of jewllery

This watch was a surprise birthday gift for my wife. It arrived from the USA within a week of placing the order which was well in advance of the projected delivery date. After unpacking the watch I was somewhat disappointed in the weight and the very small calendar window and I was concerned, when I presented it to my wife on her birthday, she might feel the same!However, I should have expected it to be heavier than the conventional size lady's watch in the context that the bracelet etc is constructed of ceramic! So far as the calendar is concerned a buyer with good eyesight will probably be better able to cope than us senior citizens? The watch is manufactured from the outset to fit a fairly thick wrist so, be warned, if the lady has a slim wrist it definitely entails the removal of up to four of the ceramic links. In my wife's case she fell into the the category of four links being still too loose and when the fifth link was removed the bracelet was too tight! Because of the fragile nature of the ceramic links, Timpsons, the nationwide chain of specialists in this field, ran into difficulties putting the bracelet together after removing the fifth link. The upshot was that they had to send it off to their experts in Wolverhampton in order to put it together with a 3 to 4 weeks repair time. At the time of writing this review, the watch is still in their possession after a period of 3 weeks!!! Having said all that, my wife is delighted with the timepiece and, on the day of her birthday, it was admired by all the family. Despite the difficulties we are pleased with the watch and hope to have it back soon since my wife has not yet had a chance to wear it. I would also have no hesitation in recommending the suppliers of the watch who delivered on their promises!
