Astonishing

I couldn't be happier with this product. Well, actually it would've been nice if it had a midi connector, but given that most midi goes through usb these days, the absence of the midi plugs actually ends up saving space.The audio quality is truly astonishing, both for input and output. Wonderful clean and transparent preamp with just a very light warm touch, just what I was looking for - I prefer to tweek the EQ, reverb, FXs etc from my sequencer rather than having the preamp colouring everything.And the audio output is just a pleasure to hear. I heard just a music video in Youtube, and the Duet 2 was incredibly generous with the output.You totally get the bang for the buck.The only thing I'd probably chance is the interface to access the parameters faster, but I like the single wheel too. The most important thing is that it totally delivers in the audio processing, which is what I bought it for.Well done Apogee!

When I first read that this Apogee Duet 2 would have amazing sound quality (in both input and output) I was somewhat sceptical. However after using this for almost a year now, I can tell you that not only does this device excel at providing the best audio output i've ever heard, but it also allows you to record crystal clear studio quality audio too. I honestly don't know if you can get better for your money.If you are a Mac user looking for an average audio interface, look elsewhere.If you are a Mac user looking for an audio interface that is difficult to be beaten in EVERY single way possible, get this.I primarily use this as an interface for my Neumann TLM 103 mic for voiceover work and I can say that it is astonishing how much of a difference this interface makes.Also, and this is a huge plus point, it looks slick as hell while being very portable and easy to use. Just make sure your OS is at least 10.6.8.All in all, 5 stars.
