Easy to fit and use
By Mark T
Just bought one of these two-packs for the kids' bike to go on our Thule aerobars. The one-off pre-assembly was a little fiddly due to a surprising number of separate parts and not-great instructions, but once I'd done the first and worked out what all the bits do, the second was obvious, quick and easy.As we have the aerobars, I used the included T-track bolts. Fitting to the car with these is really easy: slide them in and shut the clamps. They slide easily, so it's possible to mount a bike with the clamps open, then slide the whole thing across the car before shutting the clamps - useful if you only have good access to one side of the car, or if you want to mount more than two bikes to the roof.Getting the bike up onto the roof is the hardest part - here, our nice low Merc estate came into its own. I wouldn't want to do this with a Galaxy. However, the carrier does its job well here - drop the tyres into the channel, hold it vertically and roll it into the clamp. If the clamp is already adjusted for the downtube size, it can be locked shut with a simple action: otherwise, it's a few turns of the screw. The wheels are then secured with the plastic straps which work very well when new. They look like they might be a potential weak point when aged, but easily replaced with a toe-strap or two - remember them? All in all, very impressed - light, quick, easy and well worth the money. These will see a lot of use.

Convenient and practical
By Carl Beardon
Thule is not the cheapest product but it is quality. Friends have purchased similar products that are store branded from a well known store but the difference in quality is very noticeable. Easily constructed on first use and then just a five minute job thereafter. The racks hold the bikes firm and give confidence on motorways and twisty country lanes

Just the Job
By Steve Draper
Once these carriers are set up for the first time they are very easy and very quick (couple of minutes) to fit to the roof bars. Fastening the bike onto the carrier is simple too so you are on your way very quickly. I was at first a little sceptical about how sturdy the carriers would be, but needn't have worried. I've used them a lot now...and like all Thule gear they are 'just the job'.
