The Fuji S4500 bridge camera from Fujifilm boasts a high resolution 14 megapixel sensor, award winning Fujinon optics, 24mm wide-angle lenses, is intuitive and easy to operate and is packed full of useful features and technologies. With a bright 3.0" LCD screen and 24mm wide-angle to 720mm telephoto lens, the Fujifilm S4500 can capture anything from a stunning landscape to a 30x zoom of a giraffe on a safari, and you can take these two very different shots within seconds of each other. It's flexible, and in comparison to someone carrying a D-SLR, you're able to react quicker and have to carry much less bulk. Fujifilm's attention to detail is evident in the electric powered zoom lever which is perfectly located next to the shutter button and is very simple to operate. Even at the longest zoom settings or in the most challenging of lighting conditions, Fuji S4500 is able to produce pin-sharp results. With its mechanically stabilised 14 megapixel CCD sensor, and high ISO sensitivity settings, Fujifilm's Dual Image Stabilisation technology combines to reduce the blurring effects of both hand-shake and subject movement to provide superb pictures.
The Fuji S4500 digital camera is the upgrade for the popular Fujifilm S4000, the main improvement is the viewfinder. However the resolution of the LCD has been reduced which we don't think it a disvantage since 230K dot for a 3 inch screen is really good enough for human eyes.

Great camera despite some online reviews

After contemplating upgrading into the world of Bridge cameras I'm very pleased I choose this deal despite some of the online reviews I have read.The camera is amazing even a complete novice can just pick it up and use it straight away,The pictures are crisp and clear and can be edited even more with the software issued with the camera.It has lots of different settings for lots of different situation and it automatically switches between these settings almost instantaneously.The 8gb card is of great quality and holds over 2200 pictures at the highest quality settings,Although I would suggest if you want to use this cameras video function on highest settings I would purchase at least a 32gb card or higher as 8gb only records app 10 minutesThe camera Case is good quality but it's a little bit of a tight squeeze and doesn't have any "secure" area to hold spare batteries or SD cards.The battery charger was a surprise,Included in it was a car charger too (im not sure if this is the standard one they send out) I have yet to use the batteries in the camera.

Good value bit of kit

Being a technophobe, I was reluctant to spend a huge amount on a more versatile camera than my little Panasonic Lumix FS10. This package was an excellent price without having to shell out for the extras.So far I've used mainly the automatic settings with some good result and the video picture and sound quality is also very good.I would have liked to get an operators manual in book form so I could take it out and about with me but don't have any real criticism. I've experimented with the zoom and with practice I feel confident I can produce some decent images.The only thing I struggled slightly with was opening the battery compartment when I was changing batteries but maybe that's just me.

the camera is easy to hold, the information to use the camera is simple, it does what it says in the instuctions, the results are superb for a reasonable priced camera. very good value
