Handmade using specially brushed aluminium and walnut veneer the Sonorous MD8120 comes with hidden castors in each leg making it easier to move the stand to your required position and reach connecting wires. The bracket can be swivelled 35 degrees for an optimal viewing position and the fantastic cable management system allows you to hide away unsightly cables and wires A stunning black glass top gives a fantastic finishing touch to this stand which also features 2 cupboards with drop down doors with one having space for AV equipment while the other features a sliding tray with space for 84 CDs or DVDs. The open centre section can accomodate iPod docks games consoles etc. Sonorous stands also come with a protective coating to the glass and aluminium to prevent stains and fingerprints. A high-tech UV gluing technique is used to clamp the glass and metal together. Connection points clamped by glue distribute both static and dynamic load evenly throughout the surface and carry the weight solidly without creating concentrated pressure points. Just to say, if you're looking for a tv stand that is different, and has plenty of storage space, then this is the tv stand for you. When I ordered it, I wasn't sure of how it would look with a tv on, but my mind was quickly put at ease - the whole thing - stand and tv, looks absolutely amazing. The walnut colour of the drawers and the black glass work well together - well worth the extra pennies - altho you do get what you pay for.
