Great product
By Michele
Ordered this to go with my new Panasonic 50" 3D TV and was not disappointed. This is the first set of cinema sound speakers and blu ray player I have had but found it easy to set up using the HDMI cable (ARC). Others seems to have had difficulty in connecting their cable TV box, but my Virgin box connected easily and I am able to use the Home Cinema speakers when watch TV programmes. Find it great that having a Panasonic TV that the same handset also controls the blu ray player and infact as you insert your ipod or cd music disc into the player it automatically turns on your TV. When inserting a 3D DVD disc the TV automatically selects the right viewing mode. Fantastic product would recommend to anyone .... although I am contemplating getting the Panasonic 5:1 system simply because I have been so thrilled with the effects from this system its now tempting me to have one with more speakers.

Mostly pleased
By shane koster
I am mostly pleased with my purchase. Here are the pros, and just a few cons.....Pros:Very good value for money.iPhone docking facility (I Hardly bother with my Hi-fi anymore)Sound quality (Clear voice and nice punchy bass)ARC function. When you turn on the TV, the home theatre comes to life as well.Cons:Audio sink issue with HD channels (can be adjusted, but is an annoyance)Unlike DVD players, I cannot for the life of me find a button that takes you directly to the disk menu. Instead you have to scan through all of the adverts.

At Last - Found A System I'm Relatively Happy With.
By Mr. P. Amos
I finally settled on this system having tried and returned two previous offerings from rival manufacturers - Samsung and Pioneer. Interestingly the two returned units were 5.1 systems, bearing in mind that the majority of my viewing is Freeview output I don't really miss the rear surround speakers - may be different if you are a movie buff. The system looks fairly unassuming but I am pleasantly surprised by the amount of power in the output, with plenty of weight to the sound. I have had to tweak the default settings to get the sound to my liking but this is fairly straightforward to do through the set up menus.I would have given this system 5 stars but there are some annoying irritations, firstly there is only one HDMI output and this will only serve ARC functionality. Secondly when a device other than the TV is activated, say a set top box, the unit doesn't automatically switch the sound output - it has to be manually done on the remote control, and visa versa when going back to just the TV. Thirdly, and my biggest annoyance, every time the unit is powered up it automatically defaults to the home screen on the surround sound system and you have to use the TV remote to manually switch the output channel to the TV - very, very irritating.Just one final thing, the amp unit is very skinny, I personally would prefer it to have a bit more bulk to give it more presence - but this may not bother most people, particularly if you are tight on head room on your allotted space. So, not perfect, but I can forgive it's shortcomings given the price and pleasing sound performance.
