What these trainers lack in flexibility they make up for in grip. They also give lots of instep support, & because I bought a size larger than usual, I have plenty of room for thermal socks in them. I am expecting to walk & run in them in ice & snow. The design looks exactly like the picture, but I bought them for function, not looks.

Very happy with these shoes. They are comfortable (like walking on sponge)!! This is my third pair (and they were at such a good price). In between I have bought other Brooks shoes but these are definitely the best.
