Wonderful looking shoes

A great quality pair of brogues. Just wore them today and walked three miles - certainly breaking them in is less painful than my previous Clarkes. A smart, comfortable pair of work shoes - which are too nice for work! Might get some brown suede ones for jeans too!Update: After 6 months they still badly rub on top of the foot - it is the stitching join at the base of the laces - it is effectively a sharp edge. Not good.

Walk a mile in my shoes

Walk a mile in my shoes, as the song goes, and you will be crippled!I had a pair of Doc Marten boots many years ago and they were wonderfully comfortable. These shoes have thin, but hard leather, and will not wear in. I haven't tried the extreme tactics of putting oats, and worse, in the shoes, but I have tried wearing them in for the last few months, and no luck, they will not wear in.

Bought these for my husband who already has a pair of DMs in this style number. Unfortunately the style number inside the shoe was not the same as that on the box and as advertised, so the 'cut' was different and therefore they did not fit. Returned them (no quibble)!
