business and pleasure!

I initially bought this bag as an over night business bag. I had occasional business trip overseas at the time of very severe handluggage restriction, and I was looking for a bag which could hold my laptop, documents, change of clothes and over night items AND looked feminine enough. After combing through the web and also testing them at a shop I decided on this bag. It has served it purpose, and then exceeded expectation when I had twins last year and needed a large changing bag. I don't carry laptops around anymore, but it holds 6 napppies, 2 sets of clothes, large wipes, snacks, 2 water bottles, mobile, purse and more. I have had the bag for 4 years with constant use, and I still get comments about it. Well worth every penny!

I work as a university lecturer and am constantly travelling around a large campus with huge amounts of paperwork, a laptop, power packs, pen tablets, cables for all kinds of projection, marking, books, make-up, marker pens, voice recorder, wallet, phone, umbrella, travel-mug with coffee, timetables etc. etc.Until now, I didn't think there was a bag large enough or versatile enough to take all this and provide safe transit for my laptop. But this does it all. It has 3 main compartments (the largest one is zipped) easily big enough for a 17" laptop. There is also a special removable laptop sleeve (big enough for a 15" laptop) as well as 10 other compartments from wide to small for everything else. It also comes with a plain clip-on zipped wallet.The interior of my bag (the black one) is a pale green, making it easy to find everything I need in low lighting conditions like lecture theatres, and the shoulder strap is long enough for even the most tall/wide person. When empty, the bag is incredibly light so you know the only weight you are carrying is what you need.What I like about this bag most is the high quality of production. Being the kind of person who balks at the idea of a £100 (more or less) bag, I did wonder if I would regret this expense but it is so well made, so sturdy and easily tough enough to withstand an hour in the washing machine (though I haven't washed it yet!) that I am very pleased I made the investment. This is what a "bag for life" really looks like, and I look forward to spending years with mine.

I love Kipling bags and this one is no exception. It has so many pockets and is perfect for all the cables and bits that I carry around and I carry a lot of stuff with me. I was apprehensive about the fabric but it's tough and looks good. A great purchase.
