This is Steiff Sooty Limited Edition EAN 663932. Sooty was first discovered in Blackpool in 1948. Harry Corbett spotted a teddy bear puppet in a gift shop and incorporated him into his amateur magic act. At the time, his name was simply "teddy", but of course this silent little bear is the one we all know and love as "Sooty" - so altogether ..... Izzy Wizzy, let's get busy! This collector's item is not a toy as defined in the European Directive on Toy Safety.

Well, its a Steiff and its Sooty! Very well stuffed. Jointed arms, legs and head. Can be posed nicely when it rests in the collection cabinet. Not for children though, only collectors. It is lovely!
