What a good buy.....what a beauty

Purchased this casserole dish as I have a large number to cater for at the weekend. Ordered on the Tuesday and it arrived the following morning. the size is perfect for large numbers and the although heavy (which you would expect for a cast iron dish)it is very well made which makes it even more of a good buy considering the cost of only £19.99 - most of the other dishes range from £25 upwards and if you are only to use this dish on odd occasions you really do not want to be spending a fortune.

*Update to my last review*I received this item in the post exstreemly fast and, although the item was good value for money and I was very pleased with it, I had problems with the knob on the lid. It begain to melt in the oven and then the fixing for the screw sheard off. I was still using the dish lid, minus the knob, after this as the dish itself was very good.My previous comments were picked up by the company's Customer Services Dept. They contacted me by phone and offfered a replacement knob and again it arrived very fast. I was so impressed with the Customer Services Dept, who seem very helpful, polite and efficent. It turns out that the oven setting was probably too high as the knob was designed for upto 190 degrees, so this was probably my fault!I would definately use this company again their Customer Services is 5 star in my opinion. This casserole dish is perfect for the larger family or just to cook in bulk for freezing.The only downside I can see is that it's very heavy especially when filled (which it will be cos it's cast iron). Cleaning wise, the food comes off it fairly easy when handwashed but with the weight of the dish, it's a bit cumbersome. But with all things considered its ideal for us.
