A great choice !

Well, after a great deal of careful deliberation I finally purchased the Kenwood KMix in Barcelona Stripes. I am totally thrilled with it. As an Mum of two teenage boys, who have grown up on homebaking, I have a already used it many times, making cakes and meringues. I was not sure about doing scones or pastry in it, fearing it may be too heavy handed for the job but both have turned out lovely and light and not overworked at all. I have had one go using the dough hook and produced a plain white loaf which was much lighter than hand kneaded ones I made before. It saves me a good deal of time and produces great results. I love the striped appearance too. Would be interested in the attatchements but they seem somewhat expensive in todays climate.

Excellent product that replaced my aging Kitchen Aid. Works like a dream; the fold action is really handy for cakes. Its smooth lines make it very easy to clean (no nasty grooves) and it looks great on the worktop.Can't see where the more expensive Kitchen Aid is any better and this one is British!

kenwood barcelona does a very good job, mixes well and has made me an unusual rocket and hazelnut pesto and 2 superb cakes so far, light and airy just what you want, it is sturdy, well made and nice to look at too if you like a nice bright kitchen!
