The best stick on the market
By Uguisu
This is the best arcade stick on the market for PS3 at the moment.Although we haven't yet been treated to the Hori VLX model in the UK yet (currently going for a whopping $300 on Amazon.com), this is the next best thing in the Hori range, and at the current price, it represents pretty good value for money as well. The stick is a pretty hefty model, although it does feel lighter than the previous Real Arcade Pro model. I know there are some people who like their sticks as heavy as possible, but this strikes something of a compromise, being weighty enough to feel sturdy and solid on your lap and not to move around on the table, but light enough not to impair portability. This stick seems to have been designed with portability in mind, actually, as it has handy tabs on each side (hidden behind the casing) that enable you to carry it easily, and also has a compartment at the back for storing away the wire, which is a nice touch. All of the buttons on this stick are Sanwa-made, as is the lever (on the previous RAP model, only the level was Sanwa-made). Sanwa are a Japanese manufacturer of parts for arcade cabinets, so you know that with this stick you're getting a complete set of arcade-grade, authentic parts to play with. The design is pretty nice, a little more understated than the previous RAP, and with a colour scheme and build that bring it more in line with the PS3 itself. This is probably no coincidence, seeing as the stick is officially licensed by Sony.I believe this is the only officially licensed stick for the PS3 in this price range, which surely goes some way to verifying its quality.Whether you're swayed by things like that or not, rest assured that this stick will give you one hell of a platform on which to build up your fighting game skills. With the portability factor, you've now no excuse not to take it along to tournaments and test your game against the pros, so my advice is to get this stick and start practising now! It won't let you down.

amazing stick
By J. Sinclaire
Upgraded from a hori fighting stick 3 and SO glad i did. The sanwa parts are beautiful and the sick looks great... bigger (more room) than the TE... lighter and no SF decal which was a plus for me... loving this stick and arrived as promised next day by 1pm. Happy!

One of the best Arcade Sticks without a doubt
By Nuno Vieira
So, I had already tried the Madcatz TE and I thought it was really good. So when I decided to buy an arcade stick, the TE was my main focus. Then I heard about the Hori Real Arcade Pro V3. I had seen guys like Alex Valle using it in tournaments so it couldn't be neither a bad arcade stick or that diferent from the TE. I got it in my hands and I must say it really is in the same level as the TE. Although I like the RAP V3 more because it's larger to the sides and feels more confortable in my lap. I was worried that I wouldn't have any space for my wrist due to that angled space below the stick and buttons but I just put the palm of my hands there and I'm good to go. The buttons and the stick are sanwa and there isn't much difference between the Madcatz TE buttons. If I had to say, I think the TE buttons go further down than the RAP V3 ones but it doesn't affect the gameplay (I have used both of them). The turbo function works nicely but I don't have much use for it. Some people will have trouble with the Start button (which is next to the rest of the buttons) because of pressing it, not intentionally, when mashing. The Start button should be where the Select and Home Buttons are, right next to the turbo buttons but if you can control your mashing, you won't have a problem (I don't have problems with the Start button). The cable is also very very long (I guess it's about 8m long) so don't worry about the distance between your arcade stick and your ps3 (unless it's more than 8m lool). You also have a little cabinet like in the TE's where you can store the cable after using the stick or some snacks lol (as I have seen people do in tournaments :b). So, hands down, this Arcade Stick is very, very good. As good as the TE for sure (this is Hori's version of the TE). Better than this, only the hori RAP Premium VLX (about 300, or so I've heard) or a custom made arcade stick which can get really pricy. If you stelle for the Hori Real Arcade Pro V3-SA, I can assure you that you won't be disappointed.
