Excellent product!

An excellent item! We were originally looking at the plastic cage (same brand), which appealed due to ease of cleaning. We wanted a travel cage for our car boot, which could fit into boot of both a Honda Jazz (small) or a bigger family car, as well as capable of fitting into our camper van for holidays and possibly also to be used as a secure cage for outdoors when camping too.We have a new puppy, which will grow to a small /med dog and only had a large, traditional oblong cage from our last dog. This was no use for travel in the car.The ferplast plastic cage was on Amazon at an excellent price and we decided (within space of a few hours) to order, only to find it had jumped up in price. Out of principle, we decided not to do business, although then spotted this wire top cage, which was otherwise exactly comparable dimensions. On reflection, this is a much more appropriate choice, being better ventilated in hot weather than a solid plastic cage and it also easily dismantles and flat-packs into the base when not needed. It can of course easily be converted to a more weather-proof model, by shielding from drafts or sun with a tarpaulin or cover. The wire door is easy to manage and holds open independently too. No struggling to squash your dog in through a small access door. This was even cheaper (offer) than the other versions, so very pleased!

Medium Dog Crate

This cage is the ideal size for my staffie cross and fits nicely in the boot of my Ford Focus hatchback. There was a small hole in the plastic base which I suspect happened during delivery, so rather than mess about sending it back via the courier, I just glued the piece back in - which did the trick. Generally it seems pretty sturdy and my dog has adapted well to travelling in it.
