Weber Q120 gas BBQ

Have wanted a gas BBQ for a while so did a lot of research into different makes and models. Even went to a few places to have a proper look. This one was expensive which is a downside, but the more I researched and the more I had a hands on look I jut kept coming back to this one. In the end I ordered one which arrived pretty quickly. It comes boxed and there is a little setting up, but the instructions are clear and intuitive. The only extra I needed was a phillips screwdriver to put the handle on the lid. Once assembled it didn't take me long to cook my first batch of food. This thing is amazing. It's really easy to start, it gets hot quickly when the lid is closed and with the regulator and the temprature gauge at the front you can get things just how you want it. The proof's in the tasting as they say and I wasn't dissapointed. I have a charcoal weber BBQ which I'm afraid is now very much redundant as this definately takes pride of place. It's portable with a small 445g gas bottle, but also has the ability to attach a larger propane bottle if desired. (you need to buy a new propane regualotor and hose pipe for this to work though). The stand is sturdy and works well for garden/patio use, although it's not essential if cost is an issue as you can easily stand it on a table or wall etc. The heaviest part of this BBQ is the grill. If you take this out, it is really easy to lift and move around. The verdict! This is a fantastic BBQ that cooks great food, is incredibly easy to use, and is very portable. The initial cost is high, but the build quality when compared to many others is second to none.

Bought this one since I was a bit tired of cheap gas bbq grills that only last for two seasons (this is the typical £60 at the garden centres or diy stores).Have now used a few times and have to say it's well invested money. First of all it spreads the heat evenly so you don't have to move around the food and find the 'hotspots' on the grill. Secondly it is designed in with a minimum number of components so it's easy to clean.It is big enough for doing a bbq for the a family of 4-5. If you through a bigger party it works if you use it continously, but is a bit small to cook all food for all (if that what you want you should opt for the Q200 model)Highly recommended.

It is perfect! The heat-dissipating cooking surface is amazing - does take some getting used to, as it is SO much faster than my previous butane grill. I overcooked steaks the first time I tried.. definitely follow the cook-time instructions in the accompanying book, as they have it spot on! I just did not believe it would cook so quickly.. now, I make the best steaks (and chicken.. and burgers..) on it! I live alone, but entertain a lot. It is the perfect size for me to cook dinner every night, but large enough for dinner parties. I have limited space on my terrace so was looking for something medium sized and this product fits the bill the bill! Really, really enjoy it and it's only been a few months.
