Fiio A1 The FiiO A1 is an advanced compact desktop stereo amplifier designed to provide high fidelity amplification for playback on small bookshelf speakers or unpowered monitors. It combines both a preamp and power amp in the same chassis able to take input directly from a line-level source. The Fiio A1 can use either a 3.5mm or RCA input and has a high performance TI OPA2134 audio operational amplifier for preamp circuitry with low noise low distortion and high conversion rate. Each of the two sound channels use a different carrier frequency (550KHz / 600KHz) to achieve high fidelity conversion and minimized mutual interference. The Differential input level of FiiO's A1 combined with adjustable negative feedback circuit ensures low noise low interference and low distortion. A great piece of kit!

I regularly buy from Amazon and I love this mini amp so much I had to write my first product review.I have an extensive music collection and have, over the last thirty years owned quite a bit of decent quality hifi equipment. I bought this amp for the bedroom to output the audio from a hard drive via a WD HDMI (Gen2) media hub. With a bit of kit like the FiiO A1 there's not much to do. Wire it up, switch it on and set the volume. There is a low pop as the power reaches the speakers (nothing frightening) and then silence until the tracks start playing. No nasty background hiss. Lovely!I played the system through an old pair of cheap JVC bookshelf speakers and the sound was bright and spacious. Really clear and, to my ear, well balanced. After testing out a few types of music it became obvious that the bass was lacking on some albums. Turning the amp up helped to restore it but it wasn't really 'there' as far as bass reproduction went. I changed the speakers for a pair of old Mordaunt-Short MSi20s, a bit big for the bedroom but just to test the amp. I was blown away! This combination sounded absolutely fantastic and I was thrilled with the amp sound. I highly recommend this amp. I read somewhere that FiiO are about to discontinue production of the A1 (though I don't know if this is the case). I hope that if they do it is only to launch an even better version it would be a real shame to have developed such a great little amp and one which gives such good value for money only to consigne it to audio history.Minor gripes: the lack of base / treble controls is a shame and a speaker balance knob would have been useful. I guess when the amp is so small adding such features would require a larger unit. It is what it is, small, functional and well designed. The A1 could turn out to be my 'Buy of the Year'. In case this Amp is about to be discontinued I would advise anyone interested to...GRAB ONE NOW BEFORE THEY'RE ALL GONE!!!!

A very compact, beautifully finished, single input audiophile amplifier. The FiiO A1's sound is magical through my Acoustic Energy Aego T desk speakers. If you have a smaller room and single source and can live without a remote, buy with confidence. PS Buy the FiiO D5 USB DAC as well, magic. FiiO D5 - DAC Headphone Amplifier, USB Decoder (multifunctional audio interface, external sound card); with dual microphone input; coaxial digital output; use for online communication;

Perfect Audio quality in low price
