poor wifi performance? No problem!

Firstly, i should say I live in a house that has been completed a little over 1 year, so all the wiring is brand new. Not sure how much this improves performance of this item, but thought it may be worth mentioning.Having already purchased a starter pack and having them working without issue, i decided to get another home plug for my home office to improve speeds on my laptops. As with the starter kit i already had, this addition was set up and working with the other 2 plugs within minutes.i have monitored speeds over 200mbps with these sockets, which although much less than the theoretically possible 500mbps, still makes them worth purchasing over more limited speed home plug sets - in my book anyway!I have a router from a well know satellite tv/phone/broadband provider and the wifi performance is pretty poor to say the least, so these plugs have been a godsend and definitely worth splashing out on.the plug connected to my router is left on pretty much constantly, while the plugs in other rooms are turned on as needed. I haven't noticed any impact on my electricity consumption as a result and they appear pretty economical.great product.

I now have five of these making up my home network. I don't have a SMART TV but using one of these with my Humax PVR I have access to lots of web based products such as BBC Iplayer, Youtube and Flickr.
